Ford Bronco was discontinued in the ‘90s and on its place came Ford Expedition. Official announcement from Ford Company at 2017 Detroit Auto Show says that 2020 Ford Bronco SUV will be released on the market. Future 2020 Bronco SUV will be almost identical to the new Everest model. It will have body on frame design and it will be produced in Ford’s assembly plant in Michigan. Ford Bronco 2020 will have steel body and chassis, which will be used on new Ford Ranger as well. Many design cues and solutions for upcoming Bronco could be borrowed from the latest Ford Explorer and Ford Escape. New Bronco 2020 will probably get bigger brakes, softer shock absorbers, stiffer coil springs and independent suspension system. Speaking of Bronco interior design, it will most likely be almost identical to the one found on the new Ranger. Base model of Bronco will be very modestly equipped with only basic features and infotainment system. Models that are more expensive will get much better interior, improved equipment, better seats, materials, and various gadgets.

2020 Ford Bronco engine will probably be 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged petrol unit. Some rumor has it that this engine will produce at least 250 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Optional choice could be bigger 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. Both engines will use 10-speed automatic transmission to send power to the wheels. 2020 Bronco diesel engine is also possible in the lineup. Speculations have pointed to the 3.2-liter inline-5 engine with ability to generate above 200 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
